Flocks of Triathletes!

The wind has dropped a bit but its still gusty. I went for an interval run along the sea front along with about 100 others in Auckland this morning and I think spotted Stuart Hayes doing a reccy of the elite course. As you can see from the photo below in front of the grandstands I was pretty tired even for a Monday morning! Flying the Dorrington flag though...

Fixed up my bike and got a couple of spare tubes in case there are more punctures. The guys in the Bikelab on Victoria Park are really helpful, especially as I have been in there nearly every day to get my tyres pumped up.

We are now over on Waiheke which is a beautiful island in Auckland harbour a ferry ride of about 30 minutes. Staying at a beach house owned by Annas friend Lois, it is stunning. This is the house and the view from the deck.

  1. This is grogeous, you are really lucky. I hope you are not doing so much training that you will get ill again. Are you taking the Propolis?

  2. Yes its the one in the U2 song. The tree has gone now though, cut down by a radical Maori, now there is a Maori monument, and tone of really pretty sheep. If I was a sheep i would want to be on One Tree Hill. Thinking of having a rest today, Waiheke is just idyllic, going for a drive round the island in cool 4x4. Love it here.
